Narrative Approach for Adolescents’ Career Counselling
The word of work in the twenty-first century has become more instable and unpredictable than previous centuries. As a result of this change, individuals are expected to take more responsibility in their work life and career paths. The personal success formula underlines the importance of awareness of one’s own authentic values and construction of life objectives. The principal objective of narrative career counseling is to recognize of authentic meaning of the lives of the clients. A seven-step process is followed in narrative career counseling; elaborate a career problem, compose a life history, build a future narrative, construct reality, change a life structure, enact a role, and crystallize a decision. In this study, it is aimed to increase the skills of experts working with adolescents by making applications on techniques such as drawing technique, life line, career-o-gram, and my life as a book.
